July 12, 2004Greece's ROTTING CHRIST have amicably parted ways with longtime guitarist Costas due to "personal reasons." A replacement guitarist has yet to be announced. Costas' final appearance with ROTTING CHRIST will take place on July 24 at Anhembi in São Paulo, Brazil as part of the Masters Open Air Festival. Other groups set to perform at the festival include URIAH HEEP, NEVERMORE, OVERKILL, BLAZE and CIRCLE II CIRCLE.
As previously reported, ROTTING CHRIST have set "Sanctus Diavolos" as the title of their new album, tentatively due in September through Century Media Records. The follow-up to 2002's "Genesis" was produced by ROTTING CHRIST guitarist/vocalist Sakis Tolis at SCA Studios in Athens and was mixed by Fredrik Nordström at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden.
